We are pleased to support the Baby Point Gates BIA and will be participating in the annual Baby It's Cold Outside event!  We invite our neighbours and friends to drop in for some holiday fun!

In our Maker Space, you can make 3D keychains or handmade LED holiday cards and ornaments.  

This year, we are also knitting neck-warmers to donate to one of our local shelters for those in need.  Help us reach our goal of 25 neck-warmers! We have the needles and yarn. Drop in and knit with us, or take the materials with you and drop off your completed neckwarmer later on.

Join us in the HPDS Maker Space and participate with the rest of the country as we celebrate Computer Science Education in Canada! We are opening our doors to our anyone in the community who would like to experience coding!   This is an all ages event and no prior coding experience is necessary.

HPDS students will also have an opportunity to participate in the Canada Learning Code activities during our regular Maker classes. 

Come out and code with us! 

HPDS will be closed on April 14th to observe the Good Friday holiday.

Join us at AXIS Gallery and Grill (3048 Dundas St. West) to mix and mingle with our parent and staff community.  Always a good time!  Light snacks and nibbles will be provided.

As a part of our Diversity Unit, HPDS welcomes the Suubi Fusion Troupe from Uganda, who are students at Cambridge Secondary School, travel to North America each year to share their culture and perspectives through African music, dance and storytelling. While the troupe typically performs for larger audiences in auditoriums, cultural centres and schools, the Suubi dancers and musicians will be performing an intimate show for our HPDS community, giving our students a unique opportunity to connect with the performers. After the show, HPDS will be hosting the Suubi Troupe at our school for lunch, and to share with them some of our daily experiences in school, and our social and cultural perspectives.

We would like to invite members of our HPDS community and our neighbourhood communities to join us for this special performance. All are welcome!

The performance will take place in the gymnasium at St. Paul's Anglican Church at 404 Willard Avenue.

The Suubi Troupe is touring to raise much needed funds so that their special school can continue to provide hope and opportunity to Ugandan children through education and performance arts.  We are suggesting a donation of $20, but invite you to give what you can.

If you cannot make it to our performance, the Suubi Troupe would like us to extend the invitation to the main event/performance of the tour taking place on Saturday, April 15th at Daniels Spectrum.

We hope you can join us for this entertaining performance.  It will be an excellent opportunity to experience culture, listen to and learn from different perspectives and help a good cause!

Join us for a special evening of art created by the students of High Park Day School. Students have been exploring 'Diversity', what it means, why it is important, and how it makes us stronger.  Artwork will reflect the challenges, celebrations and inspirations of diversity.  Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy original art and have an opportunity to meet the artists!

During our Project Based Learning unit on ‘Structures’, Grade 3 and 4 students have been tasked with the challenge to determine if a ‘Green Roof’ is plausible for HPDS.  Students will present their findings during this presentation and will share what they have learned about green roof technologies and how we stand to benefit from installing our own green roof.
