Physical Education and Music

Meghan Cheng is a professional violinist, who holds both a bachelor of music in violin performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a bachelors degree in physical education and health from the University of Toronto.  From her days as a varsity ice hockey player at U of T to her current performances in musical productions, she is excited to now be a part of the High Park Day School faculty and to share her love of sports, music and everything in between.

Musically, Meghan has performed with Orchestra Toronto, Rose Theatre Productions, Stageworks Toronto, Toronto Youth Theatre, MADS Gilbert and Sullivan productions, the Boston String Players Chamber Group, Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra and with established artists such as Burt Bacharach, Oscar Castro-Nieves and Mark O’Connor.

Meghan has been involved in athletics all her life and though she appreciates all sports, nothing will ever top her love of hockey. She has helped coach youth hockey teams around Toronto and has worked with kids and young adults at Variety Village.
