Taking action is infectious!!
A few of our students showed up to school today with an interesting weed from their backyard: garlic mustard! This weed has been considered invasive, taking over precious space of the forest floor in High Park and along the Humber River. Although you need a permit to pick anything in High Park, take a hike along the river and you will find plenty! We found ours in Magwood Park.
Since we had 2 student experts to identify the weed, we ended up collecting some on our hike this afternoon! The students were excited to be taking action for a good cause, and were tickled by the idea that they could EAT the results!
